Application Protection

Application Protection is a catchall term, applied generically to all security measures that protect application services. Also, Application Protection is an option that is found on most Software Firewalls. When this option is on, it will stop unauthorized applications running on your computer from using the Internet. In order for an application to be able to use the Internet, you would have to give it permission when it asks.
