Spyware Blaster

Spyware Blaster is an anti-spyware, adware, malware and anti-virus program for MS Windows.

SpywareBlaster attempts to block the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, viruses, malware, keyword-logger, adware, browser hijackers, dialers and other malicious programs from your computer. Spyware Blaster works by black-listing the CLSID of known malware programs and preventing the spyware and viruses from infecting a protected computer.

This approach differs from many other anti-spyware programs, which typically scan the memory of the computer and the files within a computer to remove the malicious spyware software, after it has been installed.

SpywareBlaster allows users to prevent privacy hazards such as tracking cookies. It can also restrict the actions of websites known for distributing spyware and viruses. SpywareBlaster supports Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla SeaMonkey and Flock.

SpywareBlaster is available as freeware for non-commercial use. An auto-update feature is available for a fee. This feature checks for and installs updates for Spyware-Blaster.
